Experience-

During my art career so far I have tried to get the best experience I can to benefit me in the future as well as to give me the experience so I am prepared for the artist world outside of university. My experience goes from volunteering to paid work as well as work experience and collaboration.

Whitworth Art Gallery -

In this role I was a gallery assistant to an artist putting on a exhibition at the Whitworth gallery. I helped her produce her art show and was there to help her in every way I could. This included me helping her create her vision by painting a mural piece, using large scaling equipment such as self propelled mast scissor lifts as well as using large ladders just showing you the sheer scale of the exhibition.

I volunteered at Manchester Metropolitan University's Poetry Library to help an artist put up some glass vinyl pieces that would be in all the windows of the library. In this roll I was a gallery assistant so went to the shop get supplies among I helped cut and put up each design for the show.

Barewall Art Gallery-

Barewall art gallery was my first ever job in the gallery sector and is what made me want to be an gallery assistant and work in the gallery sector. I worked at Barewall for my work experience in college and in this role I assisted the owner of the gallery and helped her with the selling and marketing of the show which was running at the time. This meant that I was first hand with customers / viewers and I'd be the one to tell them  information, hand out fliers as well as sell the art in the exhibition. I also produced my own art and writing well working in the gallery where viewers could look and talk to me about them.

University-

At University I did  a three year bachelors degree in Fine art at Manchester metropolitan university. Within my degree I have learnt multiple skills and bettered my understanding of the art world along side made connections that  I can see me having forever. Going university has taught me I'm not just an artist I'm a creator.

Colaboration-

Well in university I collaborated and became close friends with artist Keeva Lee. Though I'm an installation artist and Keeva is a painter / sculptor our work works very well together due to them both looking at forms of escapism and childhood. Me and Keeva both want our art to transport a viewer to another world and remind them of better times so we decided to merge our art together and hold a small exhibition for those close to us to see.
